    02

IT/OT Convergence Puts Robots at the Center of Manufacturing

The convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) is a core driver of robotics adoption. Linking IT data processing power with OT physical control capabilities increases versatility through real-time data exchange, automation, and advanced analytics. Digital twins can virtually simulate and optimize entire production processes—from material feeding to quality control

    Source
    03

Humanoid Robots Move from Hype to Industrial Reality

Humanoid robots are evolving from gadgets to serious capital goods for industrial users. IFR experts consider them a promising technology for flexible environments designed for humans, automating assembly and handling tasks previously performed manually. Companies such as Schunk are developing modular humanoid gripper arms for industrial environments, targeting production lines where standardized robot arms reach their limits

    Source
    04

Flexible Robotics Expands Beyond Light Assistance Tasks

Collaborative and flexible robots are moving beyond the niche of light assistance tasks, transitioning to traditional industrial processes with higher payloads, greater speed, mobile deployment, and AI-driven adaptability. ABB's new PoWa cobots cover payloads from 7 to 30 kg for applications like screwdriving and welding, while FANUC's CRX-3iA prioritizes portability for rapid redeployment across workstations
