An optional $750 expedited interview fee (July 1–December 31, 2026) allows eligible applicants to secure an interview within 10 business days at select consular sections
Visa Waiver Program (ESTA)Citizens or nationals of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) participating countries who are traveling to the United States for business or tourism for stays of 90 days or less$40.27Generally available within 72 hours; some cases may take longer

As of 2026, approximately 42 countries participate in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, including most of Western Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brunei, Chile, Israel, Taiwan, and Qatar. Citizens of these countries may travel to the United States for business or tourism for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa, provided they have a valid ESTA approval. Citizens of all other countries must obtain a visitor visa (B-1 for business or B-2 for tourism) prior to travel

The United States accepts ATA Carnets for temporary duty-free and tax-free importation of goods for up to one year. ATA Carnets are widely used for trade show booths, professional equipment (tools of the trade), and commercial samples. In the U.S., the ATA Carnet system is administered by the United States Council for International Business (USCIB), which is the sole National Guaranteeing and Issuing Association. Exhibitors at Automation Fair 2026 can use an ATA Carnet to bring demonstration equipment, booth materials, and commercial samples into the United States without paying import duties or taxes. Consumable or disposable goods (e.g., giveaways, food samples) are not covered under an ATA Carnet and require a Temporary Import Bond (TIB) instead. The U.S. did not sign the Exhibitions and Fairs Convention, but it is common practice to import trade show goods under a Carnet as 'Commercial Samples' (for goods to be exhibited) or 'Professional Equipment' (for goods that will be used at the fair, such as booth infrastructure)

    QUESTION 1 OF 8

What best describes your current role or organization?

    Decision matrix

Compare participation options side by side to choose the best fit for your objectives.

    visit

You need to evaluate automation vendors, attend technical sessions, network with industry peers, and see real-world applications of industrial AI, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation. Best value is achieved by registering by September 15 and booking Seaport District hotels early

    Best for

Manufacturers, engineers, operations leaders, IT/OT professionals, executives, and technology decision-makers seeking to advance industrial operations and digital transformation

    Min. budget

    $495.00

    Timeline

Register by September 15, 2026, for early pricing ($495 General Access; $1,595 General Access + Advanced Training). Advance registration runs September 16–November 13 ($795 / $1,895). Onsite registration November 14–19 ($895 / $2,295). Cancellations must be submitted in writing to automationfair@rockwellautomation.com; 50% refund prior to September 30, no refund after September 30

    Risks

Travel and hotel costs add approximately $1,000–$2,500 depending on origin and hotel tier

General Access Pass does not include hands-on labs or Advanced Training sessions; upgrade required for technical deep dives

Boston in mid-November averages about 10 precipitation days and cool temperatures (high 51.9°F / low 38.0°F), which may affect travel plans

Expo floor is open only Tuesday–Thursday (November 17–19); Monday, November 16 is reserved for keynotes and sessions

    exhibit

You are a PartnerNetwork member with solutions that solve real operational challenges, can commit to a trained booth team, have a lead-capture and follow-up process ready, and can meet the August 31 / September 30 deadlines. Best for vendors targeting manufacturing, energy, life sciences, food and beverage, automotive, and water/wastewater sectors

    Best for

Automation vendors, technology providers, systems integrators, and Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork members seeking to showcase solutions to qualified manufacturing buyers and decision-makers

    Min. budget

    Not yet confirmed

    Timeline

PartnerNetwork membership is required. Exhibit/sponsorship sales open March 17, 2026. Sponsorship sign-up deadline is August 31, 2026; exhibitor sign-up deadline is September 30, 2026. Early commitment by June 16 secures early savings and early access to 2027 Chicago opportunities. Call for Speakers abstracts close April 30, 2026

    Risks

Booth pricing is not publicly available and requires PartnerNetwork membership verification and Exhibitor Resource Center (ERC) access

ROI depends on lead quality, booth staffing, and disciplined post-show follow-up

Limited availability after August 31 for sponsorships and September 30 for exhibits

The 2026 edition moves to Boston after Chicago 2025, which may affect attendee composition and regional lead quality

High investment with uncertain short-term pipeline impact if target buyers do not attend

    skip

Your objectives do not align with industrial automation or digital transformation, you cannot justify the registration and travel cost, you have no clear implementation timeline within 18 months, or you are not a PartnerNetwork member considering exhibiting. Consider monitoring the official Rockwell Automation events page for future editions that may better match your needs

    Best for

Generalists, students, early-career professionals, or organizations with no near-term automation implementation timeline, no travel budget, or objectives unrelated to industrial automation and digital transformation

    Min. budget

    Timeline

    Risks

Missing key industry connections and hands-on learning opportunities with 150+ exhibits and 250+ sessions

Falling behind on rapidly evolving automation, AI, and cybersecurity trends

Competitors may gain early access to vendor solutions, partnerships, and industry insights

Deferring may mean higher costs or scheduling conflicts at future editions
