Southeast United States / Midwest United States

    Why it matters

MAGIC Nashville matters because it sits at the intersection of three powerful market forces: the rise of regional fashion retail in the U.S. South, the shift toward intentional and value-driven consumer spending, and the growing demand for curated, community-focused trade experiences. With 83% buying power on the show floor and 90% of attendees from the South or Midwest, the event provides a uniquely efficient sourcing opportunity for retailers who would otherwise travel to New York or Las Vegas. The show's focus on local collections, emerging brands, and dedicated communities (e.g., Nashville Local, Sustainable, Women-Owned, Minority-Owned) aligns with consumer preferences for authenticity, sustainability, and regional identity. As the U.S. fashion market faces disruption from shifting consumer behavior and the rise of digital platforms, MAGIC Nashville offers a vital touchpoint for brands and buyers to adapt, discover, and connect in a more intimate, high-trust environment than larger coast-to-coast events. Informa's strategy of blending scale with curation aims to cater to both large retailers and smaller boutiques, but faces the challenge of maintaining relevance in a rapidly evolving market

    Decision

    Visit, exhibit, or skip?

    Should you go?

Based on your answers, we’ll recommend whether you should Visit, Exhibit, or Skip MAGIC Nashville 2027. This is a practical guide—your actual decision may consider additional business factors.

    QUESTION 1 OF 8

What best describes your primary role at MAGIC Nashville?

    Decision matrix

Compare participation options side by side to choose the best fit for your objectives.

    visit

You need to refresh your product mix with regional and emerging brands, have clear purchase intent, and can commit to two full days of focused sourcing.

    Best for

Retail buyers, boutique owners, e-commerce merchants, and fashion professionals seeking trend-forward regional collections (apparel, accessories, footwear) with direct buying authority.

    Min. budget

    $1,500.00

    Timeline

2–4 weeks before event (registration, travel, and hotel booking)

    Risks

Travel and accommodation costs may exceed budget if booked late.

Limited time on the floor may cause missed opportunities if not pre-planned.

If you lack buying authority, you may not maximize the ROI.

    exhibit

You have a strong product-market fit for the U.S. South, are ready to commit to booth and logistics by the deadlines, and have a clear follow-up plan to convert leads into orders.

    Best for

Brand owners, sales representatives, and manufacturers of women’s apparel, footwear, accessories, and home/gift/beauty who want to reach a concentrated pool of Southern/Midwest retailers.

    Min. budget

    $5,000.00

    Timeline

3–6 months before event (booth reservation, logistics, marketing, and staff planning)

    Risks

High upfront costs (booth, shipping, travel, insurance) without guaranteed ROI.

Requires dedicated staff and preparation to handle buyer inquiries and orders.

If the product doesn’t resonate with the regional audience, sales may be slow.

    skip

Your business is stable with existing supply relationships, you cannot justify the cost, or you plan to attend a larger national event later in the year.

    Best for

Professionals with limited budgets, no immediate sourcing needs, or whose target market lies outside the Southeast; also those not ready to exhibit or travel.

    Timeline

    N/A

    Risks

Missing out on early trend discovery and exclusive brand connections.

Losing a competitive edge if competitors are sourcing or exhibiting here.

Delaying necessary product or brand updates.
