Citizens of 51 countries can enter Malaysia visa-free. ATA carnets are accepted in Malaysia for temporary import of exhibits, commercial samples, professional equipment, etc. Temporarily imported goods must be re-exported within 3 months from the date of import. The ATA carnet is guaranteed by the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI). Applications can be processed through MICCI.

Weather

Kuala Lumpur has a tropical rainforest climate in August, which is hot and humid with frequent afternoon thundershowers. The average minimum temperature is about 23-25°C, and the maximum temperature is about 33-34°C. The average monthly temperature is about 28-30°C. Humidity is high, so it is recommended to wear light and breathable clothing and bring rain gear with you. There is ample air conditioning in the venue.

**Airport Transportation:** The KLIA Ekspres train is the fastest way from the airport to the city (28 minutes to KL Sentral). **Metro:** Take the MRT Kajang Line to Semantan Station, which is less than a 10-minute drive from MITEC; or take KTM to Segambut Station, which is about a 20-minute walk or a short ride away. **Bus:** Take bus 851 or 852 to KL 1022 MATRADE South station and walk 4 minutes to MITEC. **Free shuttle bus:** During the event, there is a free shuttle bus between MITEC, KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall, with pick-up and drop-off at the south entrance. It runs from 8:00-20:30 and runs every 15 minutes. **Taxi/Online Ride Hailing:** Grab is the mainstream application and can be picked up and dropped off at the south entrance of MITEC.

Business cards are key to business networking. Business cards are required for on-site registration. When exchanging business cards, it is recommended to pass them with both hands, take a moment to read the other person's business card, and then place it respectfully on the table.

Visa

Malaysian visa policies vary based on nationality. Citizens of more than 60 countries can enter and stay visa-free for up to 90 days. Citizens of 51 countries can enter the country without a Visa With Reference. Chinese and Indian citizens enjoy visa-free treatment until December 31, 2026. Citizens of some countries can apply for a visa on arrival at designated ports (such as KLIA). All foreign travelers must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival. If business visitors need to enter the country multiple times or stay for more than 30 days, they should apply for a multiple-entry visa or Visa With Reference.

Airport → venue: From Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), you can take the KLIA Ekspres Express (28 minutes) to KL Sentral Station, then transfer to the free shuttle bus directly to the south entrance of MITEC. The shuttle bus runs from 8:00 to 20:30, every 15 minutes. The whole journey takes about 1 hour. You can also take a taxi or Grab online car-hailing service. The journey takes about 60 minutes and costs about RM55.

Hotel → venue: When staying at the Hyatt Regency, you can walk across the street to MITEC. It takes about 6-10 minutes to walk to Arte Mont Kiara. If you stay in the KL Sentral or Sunway Putra Mall area, you can take the free shuttle bus directly to the south entrance of MITEC.

Ride-hail: Grab is the most mainstream ride-hailing app in Kuala Lumpur and can be picked up and dropped off at the south entrance of MITEC. A short trip to the city costs about RM 9. From KLIA to the city center it costs about RM 55.

Public transit: Take KTM to Segambut Station, walk for 20 minutes or take a short ride to MITEC; take MRT to Semantan Station, which takes less than 10 minutes; take bus 851 or 852 to KL 1022 Matrade South Station, and walk for 4 minutes.

Best day to visit: Wednesday (Day 1) or Thursday (Day 2)

The first two days typically have the highest concentration of exhibitors and the most active networking. Many international exhibitors may begin dismantling or reducing staff on the final day (Saturday).

Confirm your intention to participate in the exhibition and reserve a booth — Contact the organizer Kaizer Exhibitions & Conferences Sdn Bhd or an authorized agent as early as possible to obtain a booth map and select a location. Popular booths may need to be queued up to 6 months in advance.

Complete booth contract signing and down payment — Sign a contract with the exhibition organizer and pay the booth fees as agreed. The standard booth is about USD 4,700/9sqm.

Planning exhibit transportation and customs clearance — Contact a freight forwarder to arrange sea or air shipment of your exhibits. Malaysia accepts ATA carnets for temporary import of exhibits, which must be re-exported within 3 months after import.

Processing visas and invitation letters for exhibitors — Apply for an official invitation letter from the organizer to apply for a business visa. Citizens of China and India are currently visa-free until December 31, 2026.

Confirm the booth construction plan and exhibits in place — Standard booths include basic structures (carpets, tables and chairs, fascia boards, spotlights). Specially designed booths must be designed by yourself and submitted for approval in advance.

Confirm accommodation and local transportation — Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown opposite MITEC is preferred, or choose Arte Mont Kiara serviced apartment (6-10 minutes walk).

Complete booth construction and exhibit debugging — The construction time is August 10-11 (specific details are subject to notification from the organizer). Make sure the equipment is powered on and the demonstration is normal.

Daily booth operation during the exhibition — Exhibition time: 10:00-18:00 (first three days), 10:00-17:30 (last day). Make sure there are enough business cards and promotional materials.
