The 93rd IBTTA Annual Meeting & Exhibition took place October 11–14, 2025, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. As IBTTA's largest annual gathering, the event convened over 700 attendees and more than 100 exhibitors from the USA, Europe, Asia, and beyond. The programme featured general sessions, multiple breakout tracks, technical tours, and special programming from groups including Women in Tolling and the Council of Platinum Sponsors.
The exhibit hall sold out ahead of the event, prompting IBTTA to expand the space to accommodate additional exhibiting companies on a wait list. Emovis participated as a Platinum Sponsor with 15 experts at Booth 201. The event also hosted the IBTTA Annual Business Meeting, during which the 2026 Board of Directors was confirmed, welcoming Joi Taylor Dean of the Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority as 2026 President. The Past Presidents Advisory Council convened 12 past presidents to discuss IBTTA's 93-year history, the first annual meeting having been held in 1933 in Camden, New Jersey, with 45 members in attendance.
The Toll Excellence Awards and Outreach, Opportunity, and Engagement Awards were presented, and the President's Award for Excellence was revealed, recognising MTA Bridges and Tunnels for its Congestion Relief Zone Tolling programme. A Member Town Hall was held on November 14, 2025, to continue shaping the association's five-year strategic plan. The event concluded with the confirmation of IBTTA's 2026 leadership team and a forward-looking focus on the theme 'Driving What's Next: Investment. Impact. Influence.'

All-Electronic Tolling (AET)
Technology which enables cashless toll collection, either through transponders and/or license plate readers, eliminating the necessity of stopping the vehicle to pay the toll. AET is sometimes referred to as 'cashless' tolling

Open Road Tolling (ORT)
Describes the physical structure of the toll location — a road without any changes to normal road use just for the sake of paying a toll. In practice, a Toll Zone with an overhead gantry. Another term for this is Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling

Road Usage Charge (RUC)
A transportation funding mechanism that charges a fee to road users based on the miles they drive, rather than the amount of fuel purchased at the pump. Also known by the acronyms VMT (vehicle miles traveled) and MBUF (mileage-based user fee)
