National Visa (Category D) / Residence PermitAttendees whose visit exceeds 90 days or who need a longer-term stay tied to work in FinlandNot yet confirmedVaries by permit type; not applicable to a standard multi-day trade fair visit

Nationals of EU/EEA and Nordic countries need only a valid ID card or passport. Beyond that, Schengen visa-exemption is nationality-dependent: many non-EU nationalities (including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, and others on the EU's visa-waiver list) can enter visa-free for up to 90 days in 180 for business purposes such as attending a trade fair. Nationals not on that list need a Schengen Type C visa. Exhibitors and visitors should check their specific nationality against Finland's official visa requirement list before travel, since requirements and any transitional ETIAS rules can change.

Finland accepts ATA Carnets for Commercial Samples, Professional Equipment, and Exhibitions and Fairs, making them usable for equipment and demonstration goods brought to a trade fair such as this one. Carnets are issued in Finland by the Finland Chamber of Commerce, which is transitioning toward a digital eATA Carnet system. Exhibitors should apply for a carnet through their home country's chamber of commerce before shipping goods, since goods imported on consignment (for direct sale) are excluded from carnet coverage.

Tipping is not expected in Finland. Service charges are included in bills at restaurants, hotels, and taxis. Rounding up is appreciated but not required.

    Punctuality

Finns are punctual. Arrive on time for meetings, sessions, and appointments. Being late is considered disrespectful.

    Language

Official languages are Finnish and Swedish. English is widely spoken, especially in business and service contexts. Learning a few Finnish words (kiitos = thank you, hei = hello) is appreciated.

    Cash vs card

Finland is largely cashless. Cards and mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay) are accepted almost everywhere. Cash is rarely needed.

    Plan your trip

    Planning

Best day to visit: Thursday, 8 October 2026

Thursday provides the longest confirmed current-edition interaction window: the fair is open 09:00–17:00, official. After Work continues 17:00–19:00, and AgriFest then runs 19:00–23:00 in Hall 1. It is therefore the strongest single day for combining product comparison, meetings and structured industry networking.

    T-30

Register or buy the visitor ticket — Buy early if plans are firm. The official 3-day ticket costs €20 through 30 September 2026, €22 from 1–7 October and €25 during the event. A 1-day ticket purchased on site costs €30.

    T-28

Confirm travel and accommodation around Pasila — Messukeskus is approximately 300 m from Pasila railway station and is directly connected to Helsinki city centre by commuter trains and trams. Book accommodation based on whether you prioritize walking access to the venue or evening access to central Helsinki.

    T-21

Build a target exhibitor shortlist — Use the official 2026 exhibitor directory and group targets by machinery, livestock, crop production, grain handling, forestry, maintenance, energy, parts and services. Prioritize companies tied to an active purchasing, replacement or partnership need.

    T-14

Request priority meetings — Contact high-priority exhibitors directly and use Events PRO when event access is active. The organiser's professional-event app supports networking and meeting requests.

    T-10

Prepare a supplier comparison sheet — Capture comparable fields such as machine specification, price range, delivery lead time, warranty, service coverage, financing, operating cost and next action so conversations produce decision-ready information.

    T-7

Set up Helsinki local transport — For 2026 HSL fares, an adult AB single ticket is €3.30 in the app or ticket machine. Helsinki Airport is in zone C and central Helsinki in zone A, so an ABC ticket is required; the published adult fare is €4.50 through the app/card channels or €4.80 contactless.

    T-2

Choose the networking window you will use — Thursday and Friday have official. After Work from 17:00–19:00. Thursday also has AgriFest in Hall 1 from 19:00–23:00; the standard AgriFest ticket is €25.

    T-1

Save the ticket QR and final target list — Keep the ticket confirmation QR readily available for badge printing at the entrance and save your exhibitor priorities, meeting times and comparison notes for quick access during the show.

    Decision

    Visit, exhibit, or skip?

    Should you go?

Answer eight event-specific questions about market fit, buying or selling intent, budget, readiness and travel. Higher scores point to the most defensible 2026 action.

    QUESTION 1 OF 8

How important is the Finnish agricultural and forestry market to your next 12–24 months?

    Decision matrix

Compare participation options side by side to choose the best fit for your objectives.

    visit

Visit when you have an active investment, supplier-selection, technology-benchmarking or networking objective and can identify several exhibitors or conversations worth pursuing before arrival.

    Best for

Farm and forestry owners, contractors, advisers, researchers and purchasing influencers who need to compare machinery, inputs, technologies, service providers or suppliers serving Finland and nearby markets.

    Min. budget

    $31.00

    Timeline

Allow roughly 1–4 weeks for a focused visit plan: buy the 3-day ticket by 30 September for the €20 advance rate, shortlist exhibitors, request priority meetings and arrange travel.

    Risks

The exhibitor mix is heavily oriented toward the Finnish market, so international visitors need a clear Nordic sourcing or partnership objective.

The detailed Innovaatiotori stage timetable is still being published closer to the event, reducing programme certainty.

The exhibition is broad enough that an unplanned visit can produce many conversations but few decision-ready comparisons.

    exhibit

Exhibit when Finland is a priority market, your offering directly matches the fair's product scope, you can name target accounts, and your team can still execute logistics, staffing and a structured lead-follow-up plan before opening.

    Best for

Agricultural machinery, equipment, production-input, forestry, maintenance, farm-technology, energy, parts and service providers seeking Finnish agricultural and forestry decision-makers.

    Min. budget

    $1,834.00

    Timeline

Act immediately. The 28 August lower-price service deadline has passed as of 3 September 2026; company-profile and graphic-material actions are due 7 September, service-price uplifts increase again from 18 September and 1 October, and physical build/move-in runs 5–7 October.

    Risks

Late organiser-service orders carry published price uplifts of 20%, 50% and eventually 100% depending on order date.

Floor-space pricing excludes VAT and significant costs such as freight, travel, staffing, utilities, furniture and custom build elements.

Stand ROI depends on pre-booked meetings, disciplined lead qualification and rapid post-event follow-up rather than footfall alone.

Companies without a strong Finland-focused buyer or distribution case may find the audience concentration too domestic for the total cost.

    skip

Skip when you cannot identify a realistic 12–24 month buyer, supplier, partnership or pipeline objective that justifies the travel or exhibiting cost.

    Best for

Companies or visitors with weak category fit, no meaningful Finland-market objective, no near-term sourcing or sales need, or insufficient time and budget to execute the event properly.

    Min. budget

    Not yet confirmed

    Timeline

Use 2026 results and exhibitor developments to reassess the next edition rather than forcing a low-readiness trip or stand.

    Risks

Skipping removes access to a concentrated comparison point for Finnish agricultural and forestry machinery, suppliers and decision-makers.

The event is held every other year, so waiting can extend the gap before the next equivalent edition.
