The organiser (DWTC/inD) has published the dates (3-5 November 2026) and theme ('Powering Food Security Through Manufacturing Innovation') but no exhibitor or visitor forecast for 2026. The figures previously supplied (8,500 exhibitors, about 150,000 visitors) belong to Gulfood 2026, the separate January food and beverage show, not Gulfood Manufacturing, so they have been removed. The 2,500+ exhibitors and 61,907 professionals on the official Why Exhibit page describe the last completed edition, not a 2026 forecast. Key market insights, trends, news and related events to help you understand the bigger picture.
Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENASA) — with Dubai as the primary F&B manufacturing, processing, and re-export hub connecting GCC markets, the Indian subcontinent, and African supply chains.
Why it matters
The MENASA region is undergoing a structural transformation in food manufacturing. Gulf governments are converting food-security policy into concrete industrial investment: the UAE targets AED 40 billion in F&B GDP contribution by 2028, AED 2 billion in annual import substitution, and 20,000 new jobs. Saudi Arabia is targeting USD 20 billion in food-industry investment by 2035. This policy-driven capital deployment is creating sustained demand for processing equipment, packaging technology, ingredients, automation systems, and supply-chain solutions across the region. With the UAE's National Food Security Strategy 2051 and the UAE Food Cluster initiative accelerating investment, and more than 570 food and beverage processors in the UAE alone relying on imported ingredients, Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 serves as the primary commercial gateway for international suppliers seeking to serve this rapidly expanding manufacturing ecosystem.
Industry trends
Key trends shaping this market and its wider industry.
01
Food Security as Industrial Strategy
Gulf governments are converting food-security ambitions into concrete industrial policy, targeting food import substitution, local production capacity increases, and GDP contribution growth. The UAE alone targets AED 2 billion in annual import substitution, support for up to 200 food factories, and a 15-30% increase in local production capacity.
Food manufacturers are moving beyond fixed automation toward AI-supported predictive quality, yield optimisation, and anomaly detection. Digital twins, factory operating systems, and autonomous mobile robots are becoming core investments, with predictive-maintenance algorithms delivering 8-12% OEE gains in early deployments.
Consumers increasingly demand verified eco-friendly packaging, accelerating the shift toward mono-material formats, recyclable solutions, and paper-based alternatives. Regulatory pressure from the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation is mandating recyclability by 2030 and strict limits on PFAS chemicals in food-contact materials.
Private-label penetration in MENA remains below 10% despite over 80% of surveyed consumers rating private-label products as comparable or superior to branded goods. This gap creates significant opportunity for contract manufacturers and ingredient suppliers targeting retail chains expanding premium and health-focused private-label ranges.
Precision Fermentation and Alternative Protein Innovation
The UAE is investing in precision fermentation and bioprocessing technologies as part of its long-term food security strategy. Companies like Tetra Pak have launched industrial-scale bioreactor platforms for fermentation-based food production, signalling growing institutional support for next-generation protein manufacturing in the region.
Capital is flowing into MENASA food manufacturing capacity. Saudi Arabia targets USD 20 billion in food-industry investment by 2035. The UAE's food sector is benefiting from major greenfield investments including Solico's AED 130 million Jafza facility, Barakat Group's AED 150 million baby food plant in KEZAD, and Al Ghurair Foods' corn starch manufacturing plant.
Events span May 2026 to December 2026, with the heaviest concentration in September-November 2026. Suppliers should plan booth commitments 6-9 months in advance, with Gulfood Manufacturing and SaudiFood Manufacturing typically requiring earlier booking due to high demand.
A cluster of food manufacturing, processing, and packaging events spans the MENASA region and key global markets across the next 6-12 months. The circuit is anchored by Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai (November 2026), complemented by SaudiFood Manufacturing in Jeddah (September 2026), Food Africa in Cairo (December 2026), Foodtec Africa in Nairobi (September 2026), and interpack in Düsseldorf (May 2026). For suppliers targeting the Middle East and Africa, Gulfood Manufacturing offers the broadest regional reach, while SaudiFood Manufacturing provides deep access to the Kingdom's Vision 2030 food-industry investment programme. Food Africa and Foodtec Africa serve as key entry points for African market development. The circuit also includes Gulfood (January 2026), the world's largest F&B sourcing event, which operates at a different scale and primarily focuses on finished products and trade rather than manufacturing technology.

Cultural notes
Useful information to help you have a smooth and respectful visit.
Dress Modestly
Visitors to the UAE should dress modestly, particularly in public places. For business settings, men typically wear formal suits and ties; women should opt for conservative attire covering shoulders and knees. Clothing should not be transparent or indecently exposing. While women are not expected to cover their heads, modest dress is appreciated everywhere outside of hotels and beaches.
Greeting Etiquette
A firm handshake is common in business settings, but be mindful of cultural norms regarding physical contact, especially with women. When greeting a member of the opposite gender who is Muslim, do not offer to shake hands unless they extend their hand first. A simple 'As-salaam Alaikum' (peace be upon you) is a respectful greeting, with the response 'Wa Alaikum Salaam'.
Respect Hierarchy and Hospitality
Status is important in UAE business culture. Greet and acknowledge the most senior person in the room first. When invited to a majlis or meeting, stand up for new guests and older or higher-ranking people. If sharing a meal or coffee, accept food and refreshments before moving on to matters of business, and always use your right hand to eat, greet, or hand over items.
Public Conduct
Public displays of affection should be minimal; holding hands is acceptable but kissing and hugging in public is not. Noise disruptions, bad language, making obscene gestures, and showing disrespect to the UAE, its leaders, or religion are forbidden and may lead to legal trouble. Photography of government buildings and military installations is not allowed, and always ask permission before photographing people.

Trade Centre / Sheikh Zayed Road — most practical for DWTC-focused schedules; served by World Trade Centre Metro Station (Red Line) and within walking distance of the venue · Downtown Dubai — suitable for visitors combining the event with meetings, restaurants, and sightseeing; connected via the Red Line with a short metro ride to DWTC · Deira / Al Satwa — budget-friendly alternatives with lower rates, though requiring a longer commute via metro or taxi
Budget
USD 35-70 per night (estimate; rates rise significantly during Gulfood week)
Mid-range
USD 70-150 per night (estimate; rates rise significantly during Gulfood week)
Premium
USD 150-400+ per night (estimate; rates rise significantly during Gulfood week)
Transport
Get to the venue and around the city with these options.
Airport → venue: From Dubai International Airport (DXB), the fastest option is the Metro Red Line from Terminal 1 or 3 directly to World Trade Centre Station (19-21 minutes, AED 2.5-6). Taxis take 15-20 minutes and cost approximately AED 80-110 (USD 22-30). Ride-hail services (Uber/Careem) are also available with designated airport pick-up points. The venue is approximately 11 km from DXB.
Hotel → venue: Downtown Atlanta and convention-center hotels are typically within walking distance or a short ride-hail/MARTA trip to the venue.
Ride-hail: Uber and Careem are the dominant ride-hail services in Dubai. Careem base fare is AED 8-12 with per-km rate of AED 2.38; Uber operates with dynamic pricing. Both are typically 10-15% more expensive than metered RTA taxis during non-peak hours. Pick-up and drop-off points are available at both Exhibition Gate and Convention Gate. A typical 5 km journey costs AED 25-40 (USD 7-11).
Public transit: The Dubai Metro Red Line is the backbone of public transport to DWTC. World Trade Centre Station (R22) is on the Red Line and is only a 2-minute walk from the venue. Trains run every 5 minutes from approximately 5 AM to 1 AM. A Silver Nol Card is required; a minimum balance of AED 15 is recommended for a return trip. RTA bus routes 21, 98E, F11, 27, 29, 55, and 61 also serve the area. Free shuttle buses run between Al Wasl Club and DWTC during event days.
Parking: DWTC offers paid covered parking at Sheikh Rashid Tower (next to Arena and Halls 1-2), Za'abeel Plaza, and Mustaqbal Parking at AED 10 per hour. During major events, premium multi-storey parking can reach AED 100 for the first hour and AED 50 for each subsequent hour. Free car parks B, C, and D opposite Novotel Hotel are available but fill quickly. Overnight parking is not permitted. Using the Metro or ride-hailing is strongly recommended during Gulfood Manufacturing week.
Weather
Plan and pack for the event climate.
Month: November
Temperature: 18-31°C (nighttime low to daytime high)
Seasonality: Minimal rainfall (average 2mm for the month); November marks the transition to cooler winter months with gradually decreasing humidity
Packing: Pack lightweight, breathable fabrics for daytime (linen, cotton). Bring a light jacket or sweater for air-conditioned venues and cooler evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for the large exhibition halls. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are recommended for outdoor activities. Business attire (suits for men, conservative dress for women) is required for the trade show.

Planning
T-60
Check UAE visa or entry eligibility for your nationality — The organiser points visitors to GDRFA Dubai and Dubai Airports for current visa rules. Nationality-dependent; allow lead time if a pre-arranged visa is needed. Guidance, not an official deadline.
T-45
Book flights and a hotel near Dubai World Trade Centre — Show runs 3-5 November 2026. Hotels on Sheikh Zayed Road, DIFC or Downtown with Metro access keep the commute short; World Trade Centre Metro Station is a 5 minute walk from the venue (official).
T-30
Register online and save the Print-at-home badge — Registration is compulsory and free for trade professionals. Trade-only event; under-21s and the general public are not admitted. Check junk folders for the confirmation email.
T-21
Shortlist exhibitors by sector from the 2026 exhibitor list — Filter by your category (ingredients, processing, packaging, automation & control, supply chain). Co-located ISM Middle East, Private Label Middle East and GulfHost are worth checking if relevant.
T-14
Request meetings with priority suppliers and prepare RFQ specs — Bring line capacities, SKU formats, utilities and target budgets so machinery vendors can quote on the floor. Recommendation.
T-7
Plan your hall route and FoodTech Summit sessions — No official 2026 floor plan was public at research date. Recheck the official site for the summit agenda and hall allocation.
T-1
Pack photo ID, printed badge and a light day bag — Photo ID may be requested. Trolley and luggage bags are not permitted in the halls. Food and drink samples cannot be removed from the halls under Dubai Municipality rules.
T+2
Send follow-ups and consolidate supplier quotes — Recommendation: compare quotes while specs are fresh and schedule factory acceptance or trial runs.

Should you go?
Answer 8 quick questions about fit, budget and readiness for Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 (3-5 Nov, Dubai). Your recommendation updates live.
QUESTION 1 OF 8
Is your core offer in ingredients, processing, packaging, automation & control, or supply chain for F&B manufacturing?
Decision matrix
Compare participation options side by side to choose the best fit for your objectives.
visit
You have an active sourcing need or capex plan and want to compare many suppliers side by side in 3 days.
Best for
F&B manufacturers, plant managers, procurement and R&D teams sourcing processing lines, packaging, ingredients or automation, and suppliers scouting the MEA market before committing to a stand.
Min. budget
$1,500.00
Timeline
4-8 weeks: visa check, flights, hotel and free online registration.
Risks
Large multi-hall show with no public 2026 floor plan at research date, so unplanned visits waste time
Hotel prices in Dubai tend to rise during major DWTC show weeks
Trade-only, 21+ admission; ineligible staff will be refused entry
exhibit
MEA is a priority market, you can run live demos or launches, and you can follow up leads within days.
Best for
Machinery, packaging, ingredient and automation suppliers targeting GCC, Africa and South Asia factory buyers, with a regional sales or distributor setup to close deals.
Min. budget
$25,000.00
Timeline
6-12 months: stand booking, design approval, freight for demo equipment, staff visas and pre-show outreach.
Risks
Stand pricing is not public; total cost only known after enquiry
Heavy machinery freight and customs add cost and lead time
Over 2,500 exhibitors [2025 edition] compete for visitor attention
Leads go cold without a fast regional follow-up process
skip
Fit is weak, timing is too tight to plan, or travel barriers outweigh the expected return; download the post-show report instead.
Best for
Companies with no food manufacturing offer, no MEA ambitions, or no capacity to travel or follow up this year.
Timeline
None; revisit for the next edition.
Risks
Competitors use the show for launches and deals in the region
Missed market intelligence on regional food-security investment
