The U2 is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Messe München from the city center (Hauptbahnhof, ~20 min). The MVV day ticket for zones M-6 is included in your EXPO REAL admission ticket and is valid for the entire day of your visit. Trains run every 5–10 minutes
S-Bahn + U-Bahn
The standard way to travel from the airport to the city. S-Bahn journey takes ~40 minutes; transfer to U2 adds ~20 minutes. All tickets must be validated before boarding
Bus
Dedicated express shuttle operated by Autobus Oberbayern, running every 20 minutes between the airport and the venue. Travel time ~45 minutes. Tickets available online or at the airport bus stop

Citizens of the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the UK do not require a visa for entry. Additionally, nationals of many countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Israel, and Singapore are visa-exempt for short stays (up to 90 days). However, from the expected launch of ETIAS in 2026, visa-exempt travellers will need to obtain an ETIAS authorisation before travel, unless the system is not yet operational
Germany accepts ATA Carnets for the temporary admission of commercial samples, professional equipment, and goods intended for trade fairs and exhibitions. Exhibitors bringing products, display materials, or demonstration equipment to EXPO REAL should use an ATA Carnet to avoid paying customs duties and taxes on temporary imports.
