    ESPID 2025, the 43rd Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases, was held 26–30 May 2025 at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, Romania, and online. It was a record-breaking edition, attracting 3,175 total registrations (2,582 in person and 593 virtual) from 112 countries. The scientific programme featured 1,996 submitted abstracts and 196 late-breakers from all continents, with 84 confirmed international speakers. The meeting marked the first time in 24 years that the ESPID Annual Meeting was held in Eastern Europe. Key themes included antibiotic resistance, the re-emergence of viruses such as Dengue and Lassa, new vaccinology technologies, and infections in immunocompromised children.
