CACFair

Guangzhou sourcing fair for home accessories, decoration, interior furniture and storage, gardening and outdoor products, and giftware and souvenirs, staged at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou. Pazhou

The riverside district in southeast Guangzhou that contains the Canton Fair Complex. Most buyers stay in Pazhou hotels within 0.5-1.5 km of the halls so they can walk or take a short taxi between show days and supplier meetings.

Canton Fair Complex

The large exhibition ground in Pazhou made up of several numbered halls and connecting concourses. Hall numbers matter at CACFair: check which hall holds your product category before arranging meetings, because walking between distant halls can take 15 minutes or more.

Buyer badge

The trade credential issued at registration. Expect passport and proof of trade status checks (business card, company website, tax or VAT details); pre-registration on cacfair.com reduces time at the counter. The exact document list is set by the organiser for each edition.

MOQ (minimum order quantity)

The smallest order a supplier will accept for a given item, often quoted per colour, size or carton configuration. At home and gift fairs MOQs are frequently quoted per carton or per set rather than per single piece, so ask for the carton pack quantity alongside the price.

OEM and ODM

OEM means the factory produces to your design and specification; ODM means you buy the factory's existing design, often with your branding or packaging added. Both models are common in the Guangzhou home accessories and giftware supply base, with different tooling and lead-time implications.

FOB, EXW and CIF

Incoterms used on quotations. EXW prices exclude any transport from the factory; FOB adds delivery to the named port and export clearance; CIF adds freight and insurance to your destination port. Always confirm the named port and the incoterm before comparing two supplier quotes.

Sample lead time

The period between confirming a sample request and dispatch. Ask for the sample fee, whether it is refundable against a bulk order, and the courier account to charge, since sample costs are rarely on the show board and are quoted case by case.

LCL and FCL

Less-than-container-load (consolidated cargo shared with other shippers) versus full-container-load. Buyers testing a new home decor or giftware range often start with LCL through a Guangzhou or Shenzhen consolidator and move to FCL once volumes justify it.

An intermediary based in Guangzhou that inspects factories, consolidates orders across several suppliers, checks quality and arranges export documents. Useful when your CACFair shortlist spans many small workshops in Guangdong province.
