    Testimonials

Automechanika is a unique place to connect with local partners from all around the world who enable mobility uptime and drive the future of the aftermarket industry. It's an invaluable platform where we bridge today's needs with tomorrow's innovations.

Philippe Colpron · Head of ZF Aftermarket, Executive Vice President · ZF Friedrichshafen AG · 2024

This year's Automechanika has impressively demonstrated how flexibly and quickly the industry is responding to the many challenges it faces be it in terms of sustainability, digitalisation or alternative drive systems. In the many discussions I have had, I have experienced optimism above all and with it the willingness to break new ground. That makes me confident about the future of the aftermarket!

Enno Straten · Head of Automotive Aftermarket Business Segment · Continental · 2024

The trade fair was a complete success and is simply essential for networking. Over the five days of the fair, we met all of our key suppliers and global customers. The great thing about Automechanika is that we can present ourselves holistically and show how we are tackling the issue of transformation for our customers from the retail and workshop sectors.

Maik Losleben · President GKAM, Sales & Marketing · Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions · 2024

This is the first time that we have been at Automechanika Frankfurt, and I believe that we are the first company that is introducing AI to the diagnostics sector. We have had excellent talks, and we have taken advantage of the chance to present our new strategy. This has been a great start for our brand and for the future of our company.

    Cultural notes

Useful information to help you have a smooth and respectful visit.

    Punctuality is paramount

Germans value punctuality highly. Arrive on time for meetings, appointments, and social engagements; being late is considered disrespectful.

    Formal business etiquette

Address business contacts by their surname and use the formal 'Sie' when speaking German. Academic and professional titles should be used where applicable. A firm handshake is the standard greeting, both upon entering and exiting a meeting.

    Dress code

Conservative business attire is expected. Men should wear dark suits and ties; women should wear dresses, suits, or pantsuits. Dressing well is seen as a mark of professionalism even in informal settings.

    Cash vs. card

While cards are widely accepted in hotels and larger establishments, many smaller cafés, market stalls, and local businesses prefer cash. It's advisable to carry some euros for incidentals. Note that the trade fair ticket counters are cashless.

    Sustainability commitment

Messe Frankfurt is committed to sustainability, aiming to be climate-neutral by 2040 and using 100% renewable energy for its events since 2020. Visitors are encouraged to use the free RMV public transport included with their ticket to reduce their carbon footprint.

    Respect personal space

German business culture tends to be reserved. Avoid excessive small talk, maintain appropriate physical distance, and keep conversations focused and professional.

No visa on arrival is available.

Processing: Decision within 15 calendar days after the application reaches the consulate; allow several extra days for VFS forwarding and apply well in advance of the 8 September 2026 show

Fee EUR 90 (~USD 95) for adults. The organiser's visa page directs attendees to its official international sales partners for visa assistance and to the Auswaertiges Amt for current requirements.
