    Weather

Milan in March is early spring and changeable. Climatological norms suggest afternoon highs of about 14-16 C and overnight lows of about 5-7 C, with roughly 70-90 mm of rain spread across about 7-9 wet days. Sunny intervals, showers and occasional morning fog are all possible. Allianz MiCo is an indoor venue, but you will still need a waterproof layer and comfortable shoes for metro and walking segments. These are seasonal norms, not a 2027 forecast; check a live forecast close to travel.

Useful information to help you have a smooth and respectful visit.

    Congress language

English is the working language for ENETS sessions, abstracts and exhibition materials. Italian is the local language in Milan; hotel and transport staff commonly speak some English.

    Business dress

Smart casual or business attire is typical for the scientific sessions. Wear comfortable shoes because Allianz MiCo is spread across halls and you will walk between metro, hotels and session rooms.

    Coffee and meals

Milanese coffee is often taken standing at the bar. Lunch is usually served from about 12:30 to 14:30 and dinner starts later, often from 20:00. Reserve popular restaurants during congress week.

    Aperitivo

An evening aperitivo is a common Milanese habit after sessions. It usually includes a drink and small snacks; it is not a substitute for dinner unless you confirm the venue's food service.

    Tipping

Service charges are often included in restaurant bills. Rounding up or leaving about 5-10 percent is reasonable for good table service; tipping is not expected for counter coffee.

    Public transport etiquette

Validate paper tickets or tap a contactless bank card at metro gates. Keep right on escalators, let passengers off before boarding and keep noise low in quiet carriages.

    Sunday and local rhythm

Some shops and smaller restaurants close on Sunday or take a midday break. Plan prescriptions, SIM cards and business supplies for weekdays and confirm opening hours before travelling across the city.

    Accessibility

Allianz MiCo is a modern venue with step-free access in the main areas, but exact routes vary by hall. Contact the organiser in advance for mobility, seating or companion requirements.

    Local safety

Milan is a large city with normal urban precautions. Watch for pickpockets around Milano Centrale, the Duomo and crowded metro cars, and keep your badge and devices secure during congress week.

Get to the venue and around the city with these options.

Airport → venue: Primary gateways: Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP): 40-55 min off-peak; Milan Linate Airport (LIN): 25-40 min off-peak; Milan Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY): 50-70 min by road. Allow road or rail time to Allianz MiCo; on-site parking is usually available at major exhibition venues.

Hotel → venue: Precinct hotels near Allianz MiCo: CityLife / Portello upscale hotels; Central Milan midscale hotels; Lotto / Certosa budget hotels.

Ride-hail: Ride-hailing apps are commonly used in Milan; confirm local availability before travel.

Public transit: Allianz MiCo sits in Milan's CityLife district. The closest metro is M5 (lilac) at Portello or Lotto, a short walk from the venue; several tram and bus routes also serve the surrounding area. Buy an ATM urban ticket, approximately EUR 2.20 for a standard single journey valid for 90 minutes, or tap a contactless bank card at the gates. From Milano Centrale, take metro M3 toward Zara or M2 toward Garibaldi and interchange to M5 for Portello, allowing about 20-30 minutes. From Malpensa Airport, use the Malpensa Express to Milano Centrale or Cadorna and continue by metro; from Linate, take bus 73 toward San Babila and switch to metro or take a taxi. Confirm live routes, strike notices and fares on the ATM or organiser site before travel.

Parking: On-site parking is available at Allianz MiCo; confirm daily rates and hall access on the organiser or venue site.

    Weather

Plan and pack for the event climate.

    Month: March 2027

Temperature: Approx. 5-7 C overnight to 14-16 C in the afternoon, with occasional colder snaps near 0 C. These are climatological norms for Milan in March, not a day-by-day forecast; check a live forecast before departure.

Seasonality: March is changeable in Milan, with roughly 70-90 mm of rain across about 7-9 wet days. Showers alternate with sunny intervals, and morning fog can occur. Rain is often showery rather than continuous, so a compact umbrella and a waterproof layer are more useful than heavy rain gear.

Packing: Pack layers, a waterproof jacket or compact umbrella, comfortable shoes for metro and walking segments, and a warm layer for air-conditioned halls. Bring your registration confirmation, passport or ID, chargers, a notebook for session notes and any printed meeting invitations. A small day bag is useful for the exhibition and for moving between Allianz MiCo halls.

The programme is aimed at medical oncologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, pathologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, surgeons, interventional radiologists, NET nurses, allied health professionals, trainees and researchers. Patient advocates and industry teams with NET-focused portfolios also attend.
Is ENETS 2027 for patients or only for healthcare professionals?
The core audience is healthcare professionals and researchers. Patient advocacy representatives may attend to follow clinical updates, but patients seeking individual medical advice should consult their own NET specialist rather than use the conference as a clinic.
What does the scientific programme cover?
Typical ENETS topics include NET pathology and grading, Ki-67 assessment, somatostatin receptor imaging, PRRT, surgery for gastroenteropancreatic and lung NETs, liver-directed therapy, carcinoid syndrome, systemic treatment sequencing, guidelines and multidisciplinary team care. Check the official programme for the confirmed 2027 session list.
How do I register and what are the listed fees?
Registration is handled through the official ENETS conference site. The cost data captured for this listing shows Member Early Fee at EUR 600, Non-Member Early Fee at EUR 800, Member Day Pass at EUR 350 and Non-Member Day Pass at EUR 500. Confirm current categories, deadlines and what each fee includes on enetsconference.org.
    Are day passes available?
Yes, the captured fee schedule includes member and non-member day passes. Day passes suit local clinicians or specialists who only need one topic day, but check whether they include access to all halls, the exhibition and any social events.
Do I need to be an ENETS member to attend?
Non-members can attend at the non-member rate. ENETS membership may reduce the registration fee and support year-round guideline and educational activity; compare the member and non-member totals before renewing or joining.
Can I submit an abstract to ENETS 2027?
Abstract submission is managed by the organiser. The opening date, word limit, late-breaking policy and presentation formats are not captured in this listing, so check the ENETS conference website for the official call and deadline before planning a submission.
