Czechia is in the Schengen Area. EU and Schengen citizens and nationals of visa-exempt countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia can attend GASTRO SWEET FEST 2026 without a visa for short business stays of up to 90 days. Other nationalities need a Schengen Type C short-stay visa, applied for before travel, and should carry the organiser invitation, accommodation proof and return ticket.
Estimated cost: Approximately EUR 90 (about USD 100) for an adult Schengen short-stay visa, plus any local service or courier fees. No visa fee applies to EU, Schengen and visa-exempt nationalities travelling for a short business visit.
Processing: Visa-free visitors need no processing time beyond a valid passport. Schengen short-stay visa applicants should lodge documents at least 4-6 weeks before travel, allowing extra time for appointments and courier return of the passport.
Carry your invitation or exhibitor confirmation, hotel booking and return travel details for border checks, and note that visa issuance does not by itself grant entry. Apply early for 2-3 October 2026 travel because Prague appointment slots fill quickly in the autumn trade-fair season.
