    Book flights well in advance for the best rates, especially as April is a peak travel period in Orlando. MCO is the primary airport, located 12 miles from the OCCC. Consider arriving a day early to acclimate and avoid travel-day delays.

    International attendees from outside the U.S. may require a visa to enter the country for the AACR Annual Meeting. The AACR provides a letter of support for visa applications for registered attendees, which can be obtained through the registration system. Abstract presenters, speakers, or award recipients can request an enhanced letter by contacting programs@aacr.org. Due to extremely long appointment wait times at many U.S. embassies and consulates, applicants are strongly advised to apply for their visa at least four months in advance.

    Applicants are responsible for all visa application materials, including the completed DS-160, a passport valid for at least six months beyond the planned stay, and documentation demonstrating ties to their home country. AACR will work with registrants on a case-by-case basis to refund registration if a visa cannot be obtained in time; requests must be submitted with documentation of visa application attempts up to one week before the meeting.
